Former ABC chairman Justin Milne and Anna Cicognani are selling Erinagh, their Rozelle home.

They've had the home for nearly two decades, having paid $1.15 million in 2000 for an original late 1800s farmhouse with a period cottage.

No word on where to next, but Cobden & Hayson Balmain agents Danny Cobden and Samantha Elvy have a $4.8 million guide for a July 27 auction.

The fully modernised home has five bedrooms and four bathrooms across its two levels, as well as a parking for four cars.

Comprising high ceilings and an Indian limestone paved terrace, the home features a private lounge and a custom office.

The ground level master wing has its own designer ensuite.

Late last year, Milne resigned from the ABC after allegations he asked for a number of journalists to be sacked after the fallout of managing director Michelle Guthrie's departure.

Milne had been in the ABC's top job since 2017. He moved to New South Wales in the 1980s having bought a film company in Sydney. He more recently had senior roles at Telstra, Microsoft and NBN.

He and Cicognani married in 1996.

In 2014 they spent $1,212,500 on a two bedroom investment home across the road that has been a $720 a week rental.

Milne previously owned houses in Balmain and Lindfield.

The Erinagh property was the longtime 1800s home of the Toohey family who were the caretakers of Glebe Island Bridge.

Lyndi Adler, wife of former FAI chief Rodney Adler, appears to have decided to possibly stay at the couple's Vaucluse estate.

Late last year they listed the Olola Avenue property which they had bought for $6.5 million in 2002, and put on hold their plans to stay and renovate.

The home was listed with a reported $16 million plus price tag through LJ Hooker agent Bill Malouf, however they've now pulled the home from formal marketing and this month lodged $5.2 million plans to extend their seven bedroom mansion.

Set over the 2,100 square metre parcel, they anticipate a dual occupancy family compound.

Sydney based architect and interior designer Rooz + Rooz Design have drawn up plans which include adding a basement garage for four cars.

It will come with lift access to the reconfigured kitchen, living and dining space on the ground level along with the billiard room.

Two more master suites are to be created.

There will be eight bedrooms in total and will also be getting a new tennis court.

The Adler's aren't the only ones to pull their home at the top end of the Eastern Suburbs market.

A few doors down, the Vaucluse home of Jordana Sharon-Zipser, wife of hipages co-founder Roby Sharon-Zipser, has come down off listing websites after they were asking $7 million.

They paid $8 million just over 12 months ago.

The street's highest recent sale was $17 million when Reddam House founder Graeme Crawford and his partner Ian McLeod sold to Balmain Group chief Andrew Griffin.

Roberts had ventured to FNQ north to “buy a bach” but ended up buying what's known as Trinity Beach Palace.

Set on a vast 7585 square metres of beachfront land, the residence has two outdoor bars which look out over the sea.

The five bedroom, six bathroom home, which is around 1000 square metre, has a safari-themed den, a library, gym, sauna, and golf practice range.

Creek Cottage, the Pearl Beach home of the late conservationist Vincent Serventy and his wife Carol, has been sold for $1.4 million.

The Serventy’s, who 30 years ago helped save the Great Barrier Reef from planned oil leases, bought the NSW Central Coast weekender in the mid-1970s for $22,000, moving there permanently in the 1990s from Hunters Hill. It came to the market earlier this year with $1.5 million hopes through Central Coast Realty agent Stuart Gan, but sold after the price guidance dipped to $1.35 million to $1.45 million.

Set on Diamond Rd, the four-bedroom home is 100 paces from the popular beach.

The home, described as a “once in a generation opportunity” is among the 12 sales secured so far this year among the 680 Pearl Beach houses.

The dearest was when Rebel Sports co-founder Robert Gavshon and his wife Jennifer pocketed $2.05 million for their weekender of the past decade. The Dover Heights-based couple upgraded last year to a $4.428 million house on the beach.

Serventy, known as father of conservation in Australia, died aged 91 in 2007.

Long before Steve Irwin, he spent almost seven decades as a lobbyist, writer, filmmaker and lecturer. He wrote more than 70 books, articles and lectures on conservation being in the forefront of battles that saved the Great Barrier Reef, the Franklin River, the northern hairy-nosed wombat and even the migratory wading birds of Botany Bay.

It was in the 1960s when Serventy wrote to then Nine Network boss Sir Frank Packer with a documentary suggestion.

Packer relocated Serventy and his wife to Sydney, bought them a four-wheel-drive and a caravan and Nature Walkabout, Australian television’s first environment program, was aired. He also wrote for The Daily Telegraph.

Serventy’s brother Dominic was a journalist who turned ornithologist and conservationist, co-founding the Western Australian Naturalists’ Club in 1924.
