Popular celebrity vet Lisa Chimes and her husband Brad Nissen have sold their Eastern Suburbs home just a day in to its marketing.
It's believed to have sold at around $3.8 million, with the agents quoting $3.5 million to prospective buyers in the sole day it was up online.
They'd called the Dover Heights property home for the past seven years, having paid $1.8 million in 2013, shortly after the birth of their first child Hudson.
They'd been looking for a home for two years and were over house hunting.
"I didn't love the house, but I could see its potential", Chimes told Houzz.com.au.
She said it was liveable, but not exactly stylish.
"Our plan at the time was to just do a few minor, cosmetic touch-ups before we moved in."
What they actually did was remodel the ground level of the 1930s built home, making the kitchen, living and dining space all open plan.
They scrapped the oversized spa and created a decked courtyard with a cubby house and basketball hoop.
Upstairs the master suite now has its own walk in wardrobe.
Now they're looking to upsize from the five bedroom home, now with four kids in tow, as well as three dogs.
They're not looking for move far. The added bonus for the couple was that the home is just one street away from the house Chimes grew up in, and her parents still live.
Biller Property Double Bay agents Paul Biller and Matthew Ettia marketed the home with Raine & Horne Double Bay agent Dion Markovics.
Chimes, from Dr Lisa to the Rescue and Bondi Vet, is also a published author, having written two children's books Skat the Mutt, My First Puppy and My First Kitten, the latter two aimed at teaching children to look after their pets.
Nissen is the general manager of Italian furniture company Natuzzi. He's also the managing director of DOG by Dr Lisa, a luxury coat and skincare for dogs created by Lisa.
