NRL stars spending their earnings in Queensland can often end up with a fiscal injury.

Retired player Greg Inglis is the latest to suffer a loss when he offloaded his long-held Bundaberg district investment property.

The Bargara property market has yet to recover from the GFC.

Inglis bought the two-bedroom ocean-facing Manta apartment for $590,000 in 2008, just before the full impact.

He has just sold for $465,000, after he was a realist in listing it at $475,000.

Inglis has been reshuffling his property portfolio following his retirement from the NRL.

He recently sold his Coogee semi for $2,475,000 through McGrath agent Marnie Seinor, having paid $1.11 million in 2012.

Inglis and his estranged wife Sally Robinson recently spent $920,000 on a resort-style home in Shorncliffe, a coastal suburb northeast of Brisbane.

Elsewhere in Queensland, former NRL superstar Bryan Fletcher, who played for the Roosters and Rabbitohs, has sold his Gold Coast investment for $450,000 — not much more than his entry price.

Situated 230 metre from Burleigh Heads beach, the two-bedroom apartment had been bought off the plan in 2003 for $435,000.

Brisbane Bronco James Segeyaro is selling his Cairns property, which has been a $530-a-week rental after he paid $560,000 in 2016.
