Best-selling author Tom Noble has listed his South Yarra home.

Noble, who wrote I, Mick Gatto, Neddy, which was turned into the multi-award winning TV series Blue Murder, has owned the three bedroom home for over two decades.

He paid $560,500 for the sold brick freestanding home on 300 square metres in 1996.

Kay & Burton agent Andrew Smith has a $2.4 million to $2.6 million guide.

Noble also wrote Walsh Street, which inspired the acclaimed Australian movie Animal Kingdom.
